Recognizing hands-on training as a fundamental pillar in the education and professional development of the next generation of healthcare professionals, PROTON SA participated in the “Bridges of Pneumonology 2026” Congress (04–06/06, Rio, Patras).
PROTON SA supported the specialized bronchoscopy workshops conducted at the Bronchoscopy Laboratory of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the General University Hospital of Patras by providing a bronchoscopy training phantom together with single-use bronchoscopes.
The “Bridges of Pneumonology” emphasized in experiential learning, simulation-based education, and the active involvement of residents, fellows, and medical students through workshops, interactive sessions, round-table discussions, and scientific symposia. Direct interaction between young physicians and experienced national and international experts plays a critical role in accelerating professional growth, enhancing clinical competencies, and fostering a culture of continuous scientific development.
Many thanks to the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the University of Patras – especially Professor ARGYRIS TZOUVELEKIS and Associate Professor FOTIOS SAMPSONAS – for the excellent organization and their kind invitation to this highly educational and scientifically valuable event.
