Where knowledge meets technology, skills become confidence!

We were proud to support Part 1 of the ERS EBUS Training Program, held on October 1–2, 2026, at Sotiria Hospital in Athens, Greece, bringing together education, simulation and hands-on clinical experience in interventional pulmonology.

Organized by the 1st Respiratory Medicine Department, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Professor Grigoris Stratakos along with his team, this comprehensive program gave participants the opportunity to develop their knowledge and practical skills through clinical case discussions, hands-on workshops, simulations and live demonstrations, covering EBUS/EUS-B techniques, advanced sampling, radial EBUS (r-EBUS) and key aspects of the procedure — from patient preparation and sample handling to managing of potential complications.

Proton SA along with Olympus Corporation was pleased to support the program by providing essential equipment, including a complete Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) system, simulation models for bronchoscopic procedures, as well as the novel BF-UCP190F EBUS bronchoscope with dedicated needles, specifically designed to access and evaluate peripheral lesions

For PROTON, supporting programs like this is about more than providing equipment. It is about enabling hands-on learning, sharing technology and contributing to the development of the next generation of interventional pulmonologists.
